Worked perfectly for basement ceiling install.

These were installed in our open style basement ceiling, which we had painted black. They were installed with halo brackets we picked up at a home improvement store. The light was pretty easy to install per our family electrician. I liked that the rim around the light was already painted black so we didn’t have to do with that. We had painted our open ceiling matte black, and these matched well. They are so thin and light not bulky at all, and they are going to use so much less electricity than those hot incandescent can lights that we had there before we remodeled. The only thing that wasn’t black was the little box up top and that wasn’t too hard to cover with a little paint. I liked that I could choose between the 5 degrees of lighting because I really had no clue which one would be the best for our situation with the black ceilings. We tried a couple levels to compare the look and then chose the one we liked best. It’s just a little switch on the side of the box. Super easy. I just ordered another pack to put on the other side of the basement as well. These look great and lit up everything very well, keeping the industrial style look. We do have them on dimmer switches compatible with led lights, and they work well together.

Easy install, smooth dimming, clean appearance. I like that I can get them in cases, 6 or 12. I wish the junction box was a bit roomier.
