3. What is phase-cut (TRIAC) dimming?

Phase-cut (TRIAC) dimming is the most common LED dimming method and works with standard wall dimmer switches. Dimming is controlled on the AC side using a compatible dimmable power supply.

4. When should I use a smart controller instead of a wall dimmer?

Use a smart controller for color control, tunable white adjustment, or app-based operation. Use a phase-cut wall dimmer for simple brightness control of single-color LED lighting.

5. Can smart controllers and wall dimmers be used together?

No. Smart low-voltage controllers and phase-cut wall dimmers are different control methods and should not be used together on the same circuit.
