Getting the vertical runs right
Run the tape the full height of the mirror where the joinery allows, or from waist height to above head height where it does not. Two side runs at matched output give a balanced result, and a short dimmed run above the mirror softens the top of the head if it sits lower than the sides.
Diffusion is not optional at this distance. A bare run at eye level shows as a line of points in the mirror. Set the strip into a channel with a frosted lens so the reflection reads as one even band. A deeper channel with a good lens reduces but does not guarantee the removal of visible dots, since dot appearance also depends on LED density and channel depth.

Color that matches the shop floor
A garment judged under one white in the cubicle and bought under another on the shop floor looks like two different items at home. Keep one nominal color temperature across cubicles, floor, and window zone, from matched batches where you can.
Rendering matters as much as temperature. A high published CRI keeps navy from reading black and holds the difference between cream and white. Read the CRI figure on the page and verify it before you rely on it, since it varies product to product.
Where a cubicle needs to preview more than one condition, a tunable product covers a warmer evening tone and a cooler daytime tone from one installation. Rails, racks, and the run back to the floor
The same tape family usually continues onto the shop floor. Under a hanging rail, a run in the underside of the shelf above washes down the face of the garments so the front row is lit rather than silhouetted. On a wall bay, a line at the top, set behind a fascia, keeps the source out of the shopper's eyeline.
Keep the light aimed at the goods rather than out into the aisle, and where a rail moves during a changeover, plan a connection point that can be unplugged rather than cut.
Heat, housings, and hardware that gets handled
Strips generate heat in use, and a narrow cubicle puts hands and hangers within reach of everything. An aluminum channel helps dissipate that heat, takes knocks a bare tape cannot, and gives the run a finished edge against the joinery. It is not mandatory, though in a fitting room it earns its place for protection alone. Avoid enclosing a run inside a sealed mirror box with no path for warmth to escape.
Power, control, and the electrical side
Start from the installed feet across the cubicles and any adjoining rack runs. That length multiplied by watts per foot gives the load, and a driver needs at least 20 percent current headroom on top (verify the current guidance). Voltage is an exact match, 24V tape to a 24V driver. Cubicles wire in parallel back to the driver, not in series.
If cubicles are to dim, verify the chain of strip, driver, controller, and any wall control, including minimum and maximum load, and keep a low voltage controller and a phase cut wall dimmer on separate circuits unless the documentation says otherwise. Anything hardwired, from the driver and its junction box to a wall control, belongs to a licensed electrician working to the manufacturer instructions, local code, and the NEC.
