Keep control methods separate, too. A smart controller is low-voltage control, while a phase-cut wall dimmer chops the AC line feeding the driver. Combining both on the same circuit can leave the controller with a chopped feed it cannot use cleanly, which can appear as flicker or dropped commands. Unless the documentation specifically allows it, pick voice-and-app control or wall dimming for a given run, not both. Where the install includes line-voltage wiring, a hardwired driver, or a wall device, follow the manufacturer instructions and local electrical code, and use a licensed electrician for line-voltage work. Low-voltage guidance never authorizes unqualified line-voltage work.
